Universal Plastic Fridge Drain Pan / Evaporation Tray
The Universal Plastic Fridge Drain Pan is a replacement condensate collection tray suitable for selected domestic refrigerators and fridge-freezers. It is normally positioned near or above the compressor, where it collects water produced during normal condensation and automatic defrosting.
Heat generated by the compressor and surrounding airflow gradually evaporates the collected water. This tray is suitable for replacing an original drain pan that has become cracked, warped, brittle, stained or damaged, provided its dimensions and mounting arrangement match the appliance.
Product Features
- Product type: Refrigerator drain pan / condensate evaporation tray
- Generic aftermarket replacement component
- Durable moulded plastic construction
- Suitable for selected domestic refrigerators and fridge-freezers
- Collects condensate and automatic-defrost water
- Commonly installed near or above the compressor
- Allows collected water to evaporate during normal appliance operation
- Replacement for cracked, warped, brittle or leaking drain pans
Common Symptoms This Part May Fix
- Water leaking underneath or behind the refrigerator
- Cracked or split original drain pan
- Drain pan warped and no longer sitting correctly
- Water dripping onto the floor near the compressor area
- Condensate water not being collected correctly
- Original tray damaged during servicing or transport
- Excessive corrosion or staining around the compressor compartment
- Unpleasant odours caused by a damaged or heavily contaminated tray
Important Diagnostic Note
Water underneath a refrigerator is not always caused by a damaged drain pan. Inspect the defrost drain, drain hose, evaporator channel, door seals and water connections before replacing the tray.
A blocked defrost drain may cause water to overflow inside the appliance before it reaches the drain pan. Clear the drainage system and confirm that water flows freely into the tray.
Important Fitment Note
This is a universal-style replacement and is not suitable for every refrigerator. Before ordering, compare the overall length, width, height, moulded shape, mounting points, drain-hose position and compressor clearance with the original tray.
Ensure that the tray sits securely and does not touch electrical terminals, moving fan components, hot discharge pipes or other parts that were not in contact with the original pan.
The drain hose must discharge into the correct section of the tray without becoming kinked, blocked or displaced.
Disconnect the refrigerator from the electrical supply before accessing the compressor compartment or fitting the replacement drain pan.
