About this part
Samsung Washing Machine Drum Spider & Shaft – DC97-14370H
The Samsung DC97-14370H drum spider is the three-arm support fitted to the rear of the stainless-steel inner drum on selected front-loading washing machines. Its central shaft runs through the drum bearings, supporting the drum and keeping it aligned as it washes and spins.
Cracked arms, corrosion around the mounting points or wear on the shaft can allow the drum to move out of line. Replacing the damaged support can restore correct drum support once any associated bearing, seal or tub damage has been addressed.
Product Features
- Part reference: DC97-14370H
- Part type: Drum spider / support flange and shaft assembly
- Three-arm metal support with a central drive shaft
- For selected Samsung front-loading washing machines and compatible washer-dryer applications
- Spider and shaft only; bearings, tub seal, drum and fixing hardware are not included unless separately stated
Common Symptoms This Part May Fix
- Cracked, broken or heavily corroded support arms
- Inner drum sagging or moving excessively relative to the outer tub
- Uneven rotation or knocking traced to a damaged spider
- Wear or scoring on the shaft where bearings or the seal run
Important Diagnostic Note
Noise, vibration and drum movement can also be caused by worn bearings, suspension faults or an unbalanced load. Inspect the spider, bearings, water seal, drum mounting points and outer tub before ordering. Reusing a leaking seal or damaged bearing can shorten the life of the replacement.
Important Fitment Note
The final H is part of the DC97-14370H reference. Confirm any alternative or superseded number against the service information for your exact machine before ordering. Match the full appliance model and production suffix, shaft dimensions, splines and all three mounting arms to the original part. Compatibility lists are a guide and do not replace that comparison.
