Universal Brazing Flux Powder – 100g
The Universal Brazing Flux Powder – 100g is a workshop consumable used to help prepare and protect metal surfaces during high-temperature brazing. The flux helps remove light surface oxidation and reduces further oxidation while the joint is heated, allowing compatible brazing filler metal to flow more evenly into the joint.
It is suitable for selected refrigeration, air-conditioning, plumbing and general metal-repair applications involving compatible copper, brass and steel components. The flux may be mixed with a small amount of clean water to form a paste or applied according to the brazing method and filler-metal requirements.

Directions for Use
Clean the joint surfaces thoroughly before brazing. Apply a small, even amount of flux to the required area or prepare it as a paste using a small amount of clean water. Assemble and heat the joint evenly, then apply a compatible brazing filler metal once the correct working temperature has been reached.
After the joint has cooled, remove all remaining flux residue using the appropriate cleaning method. Flux residue may attract moisture or cause corrosion if left on the completed joint.
Important Usage Note
This product is not suitable for every metal or brazing alloy. Confirm that the flux is compatible with the base metals, filler material and required working temperature before use. Do not use on aluminium unless the flux is specifically approved for aluminium brazing.
Use in a well-ventilated area and wear suitable gloves, eye protection and respiratory protection where required. Avoid breathing fumes or allowing the product to contact the skin or eyes. Follow the product label and safety data instructions.
