Universal Aluminium Brazing Rod Coil
The Universal Aluminium Brazing Rod Coil is a flexible aluminium-based filler rod supplied in a convenient rolled form for selected refrigeration, air-conditioning and general metal-repair applications. It is intended for joining or repairing compatible aluminium components using the correct brazing method and suitable heat source.
The coiled format allows the technician to cut off only the amount required for each repair. It is suitable for selected aluminium tubing, evaporator components, brackets and other compatible aluminium parts where an aluminium brazing filler is required.
Product Features
- Product type: Aluminium brazing rod / aluminium filler rod
- Supplied in a convenient rolled coil
- Can be cut to the required working length
- Suitable for selected aluminium repair applications
- Suitable for refrigeration and air-conditioning service work
- May be used for selected aluminium tubing and component repairs
- Helps create strong joints when used with the correct brazing procedure
- Compact format for workshop or mobile technician storage
Common Applications
- Aluminium refrigerator evaporator repairs
- Selected aluminium refrigeration tubing repairs
- Air-conditioning aluminium pipework
- Aluminium brackets and light metal components
- Selected aluminium-to-aluminium joints
- General workshop aluminium repairs
- Refrigeration and HVAC maintenance
Directions for Use
Clean the repair area thoroughly and remove paint, oil, corrosion and oxidation from the joint surfaces. Cut the required length from the coil and heat the base metal evenly using a suitable heat source.
Apply the aluminium filler rod once the correct working temperature has been reached. Allow the filler material to flow through the joint and leave the repaired area to cool naturally before cleaning and testing it.
Important Usage Note
Aluminium forms a tough oxide layer that can prevent proper filler flow. A suitable aluminium brazing flux may be required unless the filler rod is specifically designed for flux-free use.
This product is not suitable for every aluminium alloy or repair. Confirm compatibility with the base metal, working temperature, system pressure and intended application before use.
Use suitable gloves, eye protection and ventilation during brazing. Refrigeration and air-conditioning systems must be safely recovered, depressurised and prepared before any heat is applied.
