About this part
Universal Washing Machine Drive V-Belt – Z-487E
The Universal Washing Machine Drive V-Belt Z-487E is a replacement transmission belt suitable for selected top-loader washing machines. It transfers power from the washing machine motor to the gearbox, transmission or drive pulley during washing and spinning.
This belt is suitable for replacing an original drive belt that has become stretched, glazed, cracked, worn or broken. Correct belt tension helps maintain reliable power transfer and prevents slipping during operation.

Important Diagnostic Note
A washing machine that does not agitate or spin does not automatically have a faulty belt. Inspect the motor, gearbox, pulleys, clutch mechanism, capacitor and associated drive components before replacing the belt.
Both pulleys should rotate freely and remain correctly aligned. A seized gearbox, damaged pulley or worn motor mounting may quickly damage the replacement belt.
Important Fitment Note
Before ordering, compare the Z-487E marking, belt width, overall length and V-profile with the original belt. Similar-looking washing machine belts may differ in length or cross-section and are not automatically interchangeable.
Do not overtighten the replacement belt. Excessive belt tension may place unnecessary load on the motor and gearbox bearings, while insufficient tension may cause slipping.
Disconnect the washing machine from the electrical supply before removing or installing the drive belt.
