The Generic Danfoss / Secop-Type Compressor Start Relay and Overload Assembly is a combined compressor starting and protection device suitable for selected single-phase hermetic refrigeration compressors using a compatible 117U6010-style starting system.

The current-operated relay temporarily energises the compressor start winding during startup. Once the compressor reaches operating speed, the relay disconnects the start winding, while the integrated thermal overload helps protect the compressor against excessive current, overheating and stalled-rotor conditions.
