Important Diagnostic Note
A fridge-freezer that does not cool does not automatically have a faulty thermostat. Inspect the compressor, start relay, overload protector, wiring, defrost system and refrigerant circuit before replacing the thermostat.
If the compressor operates when the thermostat contacts are temporarily bridged, but does not operate through the thermostat, the thermostat may be defective. Testing should be performed only by a suitably experienced technician.

Route the capillary tube in exactly the same position as the original. Do not cut, sharply bend, crush or kink the capillary tube, as damage will permanently prevent the thermostat from operating correctly.
Transfer the electrical wires one terminal at a time and ensure that each wire is connected to the correct numbered terminal. Incorrect wiring may cause continuous compressor operation or prevent the appliance from cooling.
Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply before installation.
